Hello Dear Ones

Greetings from this side of the world! We are doing very good, overall. The Lord has been so amazing in helping us adjust.  Having wonderful fellow believers to make us feel welcome has been so great! Their hearts and hospitality are huge!! It is surely a challenge to me to try, by God's help, to do much better.
A short review of our week and a big thank-you for all your prayers, they are needed and appreciated muchly!!  Sunday found us at Nirman Home where praise and worship was awesome, Louis sat between two drummers and well let's just say he was in the center of it =), Pastor Suresh brought a message on "Faith".  We could not understand the words, but the Spirit is One, Hallelujah!! Tears are sometimes very appropriate.  Had an amazing worship and then a delicious meal with the family. Auntie Lunu, Pastor's wife, is known for her wonderful cooking, and we can agree!! Monday was a little shopping and market for food supplies.  Tuesday, David and Chris went by cycle to Bhubaneshwar to do child info and pics for CAM. Chris went to have fun with the children.  A little hard when the language is an issue. Love, thankfully is universal!  The rest of us had "down" time here. Wednesday, at 6am. Louis, David, and Pastor Suresh left to go stake the land that is being purchased, (thanks for the prayers and please continue praying, so much red tape)! They were to be gone a couple days!!  so imagine our surprise when the door opened and in walked Louis, only an hour or two later!! They were having some political strike, nationwide, and so they had blocked the roads, banks and govt. offices were closed etc. they had to turn around and come home. Now, plans are to go for a pastor's conference, starting this Mon.,Feb.25, in the same town as the where the land is located, and on Wed. hopefully take care of staking the land. We are all planning to go for conf. leaving Sun. the 24th. ( Thanks in advance for praying!)  Thurs. another family day.  Fri.afternoon were excited to go to Nirman Home again and enjoy all the children and have devotions together! Saturday, went shopping with Auntie, and Veronica and I both came home with a couple packages=) to be seen on future blog.
This blog we want to give you a small tour of the "home away from home" we are truly blessed to have!!

  1. Thank you so much for the updates and the pictures. They help so much as we pray for you guys. I am sorry about the "red tape" and the strike. May the Lord open doors that no man can shut and close doors that no man can open.

  2. Melody, I'm sorry we didn't make to y'alls commissioning. We really wanted to be there. I'm so glad you have this blog. It's so interesting to be able to "see" where you live - monkeys and all! God bless you as you continue to adjust and as you pour your hearts in to His Work! Love and Prayers!
